    1. This is a fascinating biography about a remarkable filmmaker. I grew up enjoying Hitchcock's films such as The 39 Steps (one of my favorites!), Rear Window, North by Northwest, Psycho and Vertigo. Although I loved his films, I'm not sure that I would have liked him if I had met him in person. He did not sound like the nicest director to many of his actors and actresses, especially Tippi Hedren during The Birds production.
