    1. Merlot (Meri) St. Pierre is a jewelry major at Gates College and has just won the college’s Purchase Prize for one of her creations. She and her sisters, Chardonnay (Char) and Sauvignon (Savvy) are the daughter of the well-known owner of the St. Pierre Winery in Napa Valley. The Purchase Prize means that the piece will be kept in the college’s permanent collection. Growing up as a wealthy gal, Meri has always encountered jealously from her fellow students and college has been no different fo [...]

    2. 2.5 stars*** I received an ARC from Lyrical/Kensington through NetGalley for an honest review. Expected publication date: 1/5/15 ***I was really looking forward to reading this. You have wine, a woman who wanted to show the world that she was her own person and budding romance, I thought: SOLD! But as I read the story I found that it captivate me as much as I thought it would. I found that my main issue was with Meri. While I admired her wanting to make it on her own without using her famous fam [...]

    3. "3.5 out of 5 stars! Two people, both from famous families, find each through jewelry and learn more about themselves then they could have ever hoped for, now if they’ll only trust each other with all their past secrets everything should be fine. This novel I found to be more “smoke and mirrors” when it came to Merlot (Meri) and Mark’s past secrets because of the way they are laid out for the reader. Yet, because of those secrets and how they are displayed made me intrigued for more and m [...]

    4. Loved it -- just really nice light summer reading. Got to learn a little more about Napa, winemaking, and a little about the jewelry business.

    5. I received this book in exchange for an honest review from NetGalley.A Taste Of Merlot is the second book in Heather Heyford's debut series, the Napa Wine Heiresses. This book follows the youngest sister Merlot 'Meri' St Pierre. The story opens with Meri accepting the Purchase Prize at Gates College Of Art And Designs art exhibit. After her speech she heads to the ladies room. Shortly after she's in the stall she hears two classmates enter the room as they begin bashing her; saying things like sh [...]

    6. Title: A Taste of Merlot - Napa Wine Heiress 2 Author: Heather Heyford Published: 1-5-15 Publisher: Kensington Books Pages: 212 Genre: Romance Sub Genre: Family Life, Domestic Fiction ISBN: 9781601833600 ASIN: B00M0174H4 Reviewer: DelAnne Reviewed For: NetGalley My Rating: 4 Stars . .Merlot "Merl" St Pierre is determined to make a name for herself in the world of jewelry design without coasting into a career on the coattails of her father, a man known as much for his outrageous anti [...]

    7. This is the 2nd book of a trilogy, which focuses on three sisters who are wine heiresses, born to famous and infamous parents. Just like I said about the first booke concept is interesting. I love romances set in wine country, but there is just something missing with the writing. With the first book, I found the sister, Char, to be too self-righteous and it felt like the author was trying to find her writing style. The 2nd book follows the baby sister, Meri, who also happens to be an aspiring je [...]

    8. Sweet but a bit bland with all the alcohol flowing (ha ha) not funny.Merlot (Meri), Chardonnay (Cher) & Sauvignon (Savvy) must have had hell to pay for these names. I guess being Napa Valley royalty can be good for something. As if they girl did not have enough on her plate with her name, Meri wants very much to be more than what her family's name and wealth provides. She's smart, strong, independent, and very much determined to make thing work for herself. She takes the steps needed to step [...]

    9. Thank you to NetGalley for providing an advance copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.#2 in the Napa Wine Heiresses series.Although I'd rate this 2.5 stars, there was something that drew me in despite myself. My biggest problem was main character Merlot who just seemed to agonize over the silliest things. She came across as the poor little rich girl who was complaining about things that she should have been grateful for. She seemed so naïve about the world despite her having grown [...]

    10. I was given an ARC by NetGalley and this is my honest review. This is Book Two of the Napa Wine Heiress Series. I have not read book one and luckily it didn't seem to matter because of how the author describes each St. Pierre sister (there's three). I enjoyed this book and admired Merlot aka Meri for trying to make it in the jewelry designing business not using her last name to achieve success. Mark discovers the design made by a company named "Gilty" which was the Purchase Prize winner at an ev [...]

    11. I was give an ARC from NETGALLEY for an honest review. Merlot St. Pierre is an aspiring Jewelry designer and also a wine heiress. She wants to make it on her ability not her family name. She is tired of the whispers at school behind her back that she is only doing this for a hobby. She sets out to this I her own without daddy's money.Mark Newman is a buyer and his family own expensive jewelry stories. While searching for a designer Merlot aka Meri piece catches his eye and he's determined to sig [...]

    12. This was a nice switch up read for me. I have been in the past so a contemporary book looked good to read and was. I enjoyed the people in this story. It was nice to find a rich girl who isn't a snob. That was left to Rainn. I must admit I wouldn't want to be named for a wine like Merlot, or Meri as she prefers. She is a jewelry designer. Mark is a buyer for his Aunt Gloria' s jewelry store. They butt heads. Spoilers here. He has spent months trying to find the person who won a contest. Of cours [...]

    13. An enjoyable story of two people who find love despite carrying some family baggage. Despite being the 2nd story of a trilogy, you could read this as a stand-alone. I enjoyed it so much that I purchased the first story of the trilogy.Disclosure of Material Connection: I received this book free from Netgalley as part of their Book Review Blogger program. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Tra [...]

    14. I loved the jewelry designing aspect of this book, and although it wasn't a huge part of this book, I like stories with vineyards. The wine names for the sisters are horrible though, every time I read one of their full names I cringed, but it seems the characters realize this, so I'm going to let it slide. I liked Mari and Mark together, and they are really cute together, and compliment each other nicely. I didn't like how self deprecating Mari was; she seemed to lack confidence. I think this st [...]

    15. I received this book from NetGalley. I had not read book one and was a little concerned initially about continuity but that worry quickly went away. A Taste of Merlot stands by itself and I did not need the first book in order to enjoy the second. I liked Meri; she is both vulnerable in some areas and strong in others. It was a very cute, enjoyable romance of two people from wealthy backgrounds who wanted to be loved and accepted for who they are found each other, love and had to overcome the ch [...]

    16. A very enjoyable read. This is the second in the series and is the story of Merlot St. Pierre. She's working hard to make her way as a jewelry designer without using the family name. When she wins a coveted prize during college her work is discovered by Mark Newman, a buyer who works for a large jewelry house. This is their story of dealing with family issues and finding a way to be together in spite of those issues. It's a great read and one I highly recommend.

    17. I thought this was a very sweet book. It is a simple love story between two people learning to trust love. There is no angst or suspense really, but there is a compelling element to it that kept me reading most of the night. It was just interesting to see all the secrets revealed and their reactions to all the chaos. For more reviews, go to bbsbookreviewsI received this book from Netgalley for an honest review.

    18. I was given an ARC of this book for my honest opinion. Unfortunately for me this book fell flat, mainly because of Meri was too wishy washy for me. If you want to be a strong independent woman who needs to prove your self-worth, you don't agonize over every little thing. I just could not get past that to enjoy this book.

    19. This book, like wine, gets better with age, or page you could say. It started slow but kept my interest until the end. And it was nice how everything wrapped up so nicely. I'm impressed by Ms. Heyford's writing as well as her plot and character development. I look forward to Sauvignon's story later this year!

    20. My favorite part of this book was the characters. I really enjoyed Meri and the believable conflict between using her undeserved famous name and making it on her own merits. The misunderstandings between Meri and Mark also felt very real. I also liked the jewelry making and marketing setting.

    21. Loved this book. Immediately lent this to my mom, who is also a fan. It makes me want to read more in this series. Nice and light, yet completely enjoyable. Great read for romance fans, especially those who enjoy a glass or two of wine while they curl up to read!

    22. I was given an advanced copy from Netgalley. I was afraid I would be list since it was book two in the series. Not only was I not list, but couldn't turn the pages fast enough. This is a fun read.

    23. I received this book in a giveaway, and I thank the author for the chance to read it. I enjoyed the book and consider it a perfect beach read.

    24. Label dropping and cheesy frenglish don't give this story any legs. It's a silly story that lacks substance and isn't whimsical enough to be a breezy light read.

    25. Really enjoyable easy to read novel that kept me turning the pages to a happy ending. Even though I hadn't read the first novel yet, it was still easy to follow.

    26. Loved that she was true to herself despite what she was born into! Loved that he would go to any me length to not only find herbut keep her!
