    1. I received a review copyIf you read my review of The Seeds of a Daisy, you know how excited I was to read the second book from Alison Caiola. And I was not disappointed. This book was very different from the first one, where it explored the relationship between mother and daughter. In this one, we watch Lily try to move with her life after losing her mother and becoming a mother. She is trying to also move on from Robbie, the man she loves but is on a medical mission in Africa, but she quickly l [...]

    2. Life as a famous actress isn't as easy as it looks. Lily Lockwood has found success on film and on stage, but her personal life is in tatters. Not only is she still in mourning for her mother, but she's also a new mother who left the baby's father after he cheated. Now, he wants to return to her life, but her heart is with a handsome doctor named Robbie – who also happens to be the adoptive brother of her mother's firstborn, given up at birth. As if this tangle of personal drama isn't enough, [...]

    3. In the second of her Lily Lockwood series, Caiola has presented us with enough back-story from the initial offering, The Seeds of a Daisy, to make the follow up novel very much a standalone. We catch up with actress Lily as she is being presented with her first Tony Award. Her fame brings her back in to the arms of her former actor flame, Jamie Fleming, with whom she has parented her toddler daughter, Daisy Rose. Her soulmate, and past lover, physician Robbie Rosen has been off in Africa on a med [...]

    4. THE SILVER CORD is the second book in the LILY LOCKWOOD SERIES. SEEDS OF A DAISY was packed with drama, heartbreak and unexpected discoveries. Now two years later, Lily is no longer a girl flitting from one Hollywood party to the next. She has grown into a responsible woman with important decisions to make. THE SILVER CORD is as [...]

    5. I was so excited to receive the second book in The Lily Lockwood Series, as I loved the first book Seeds of a Daisy so very much (review)!!! This book took me on a wild ride. It takes place after Lily has lost her mother and is now a mother herself. When she gets word that her true love has been taken by a terrorist group out of Somalia while he was there for a medical mission things really begin to heat up. There is everything I love in this bookspense, love, friendship, heartbreak, second chan [...]

    7. I enjoyed this second book in the Lily Lockwood series nearly as much as the first. I particularly liked the intrigue of the hostage situation in Somalia, which made for nail biting moments of suspense. I can't wait for book number 3!
