    1. Wow! Oh the joy of reading a great holiday short story book that took away quite a bit of holiday cheer and instead pulled in the morbid, creepy, and ghostly side of it all! I was a bit nervous before beginning the book because I love my horror books so I was hoping it wouldn't be one of those that wound up being a bit more on the sugar coated side of holiday horror (you know, the kind that really wasn't very horror at all but would have more of an ending where everyone was happily baking ginger [...]

    2. I read this one in a few hours. Really couldn't put this one down. This is a book of three short stories by three different authors. Normally short stories have constraints set on them making it difficult to really get an emotional reaction from the reader, as they are short so there is limited space for character and plot development. But I felt that each of these writers managed to pull it off, and quite naturally too. the story telling in each is patient. the horror is carefully established t [...]

    3. Three awesomely terror-ible stories to give you chills and thrills this holiday season! As the cover design hints, these are not silly little ghost stories with a Christmas settings, but rather they are macabre tales that twist the traditional Christmas elements into stuff of nightmares. That treasured family ornament passed down through generations? You may think twice about putting it on the tree after reading Haines's story about such an item. And thanks to Benedict, your mischievous little el [...]

    4. First, a disclaimerI was given a free copy of this in return for my honest review. After a hard morning of on-lineCristmas shopping, I decded a diversion was neccessary and sat down and finally read this trio of terrorMy suggestion,,,either read it with all lights blazing or during daylight hours! I found all three stories to be very entertaining and scary.I feel each of the three authors did an excellent job of developing their characters. I found each of the stories to hold my attention for th [...]

    5. I love ghost stories and I really love ghost story compilations. I chose this one because I am sort of obsessed with Carolyn Haines (sometimes RB Chesterton) and she was included as an author in this novel. The stories were the perfect blend of entertaining and spine tingling. I may have given this book five stars if it weren't for its very specific "Christmas" theme, which limited the story lines.

    6. If you want to put some thrill and creepy into your holiday reading then these three short stories are definitely worth the read! Three short tales of terror by three terrific authors. I was lucky enough to get an advanced copy of this book, and they are great stories to sit and read by the fire on a cold night!! Highly recommend if you like freaky and creepy!!

    7. I would normally not pick this type of book. It's something my daughter would like. I like mysteries. But, in this case all three stories grabbed my attention and I had to read each to the end to see what happened. They we very spooky !!!

    8. In the old tradition of telling ghost stories on Christmas eve, these three short stories do not disappoint.

    9. This was a fun read in the Victorian tradition of telling ghost stories for Christmas. The first short story was not my favorite. Don't let that one make you stop reading the other two.
