    1. This was a charming, entertaining and heart-warming friends-to-lovers romance with an endearing hero and heroine.Jonathan has always considered Miss Arbuckle (Mary) as his dearest friend. They share the same reading interests and he admires her intelligence but has never really seen her as a woman.Poor Mary has been in love with Jonathan from the moment they first met but is pragmatic enough to accept that he wouldn’t look twice at a shy, drab, bookish spinster like herself in a romantic way.E [...]

    2. It's a novella. It's historical. There's some romance. I'll forget about it within a month.

    3. A Christmas in Bath: The Brides of Bath, Book 6 by Cheryl Bolen Wanted to read this book because it's around the Christmas holiday and find not only the timeframe of the book interesting but the decorations and traditions would be something nice to learn about.Miss Mary Arbuckle visited Glee Blankenship while she's nursing her child. The women had gone to schoool together. She is giving her advice on how to get Jonathan Blankenship to wed her. They will plan to make him jealous of MaryStory also [...]

    4. "A Christmas in Bath" is a sweet Christmas novella, both in terms of the romance as well as the other subplots. I enjoyed the two main characters: the slightly prudish hero who has never wanted to marry and be distracted from his scholarly books. And the unassuming heroine, who has accepted her position in life as a young woman without good looks or fortune and makes the best of things by enjoying intellectual pursuits. They are, as another reviewer succinctly put it, a set of nerds. Unlike most [...]

    5. Hero: Jonathan-- Heroine: MaryReading Enjoyment:4.5* I truly enjoyed sweet heartwarming novella, that warms the heart and left me feeling happy. This story is like a grand epilogue to the series, with the main focus on some previously mentioned sub-characters. The novella gives reference to the backgrounds of the previous couples and to the families children. This is about friendship finding a way to love even if it takes some nudges and pushes but of course it all works out in the end. This sto [...]

    6. I loved all your brides of bath books. I read all except the book about CarlottaI disliked her so much in the other books I just had no desire to read Carlotta's story. My favorite writer has always been MARY BALOGH until I started reading your books. My favorite story was Glee and Gregory because it was so funny but sad at times. I love reading about the past characters from other book to hear how their lives are proceeding. Thank you for so many wonderful hours with your delightful characters.

    7. I really wanted to read this book and expected to love it. I've read the Brides of Bath series and loved all of the books in it, so when I saw this one, I pre-ordered the book. I looked forward to seeing what had happened in the character's life. Unfortunately, other than Glee, I did not get a view of their lives. Ms. Bolen touches on them and mentions children briefly, but that is all. At 50% in, I was ready to set the book aside. I do not like doing that, so I went to check out the reviews to [...]

    8. This novella is a sweet story about good Christmas cheer all around.Jonathan Blankenship has decided to spend the holidays with his half-brother, Gregory, and wife Glee Blankenship. At the same time, to spend time with his two best friends, Melvin Steffington and Ms. Mary Arbuckle.Jonathan wants to see his mother join them for Christmas, too. Jonathan’s mother hadn’t been very nice to Gregory, but she has since relented. Now Gregory has harsh feelings about her. Could he convince him to let [...]

    9. Miss Mary Arbuckle, age 23, is a plain spinster with little money living with her mother in Bath. When she receives a message from her married friend, Glee Blankenship, to come and visit with her right away, she is somewhat concerned. Glee is happily married to the very wealthy Gregory Blankenship and is the mother to two young children. Mary and Glee have been friends since they both attended Miss Worth’s School for Young Ladies. Through Glee and Gregory, Mary has become good friends with Jon [...]

    10. Mary Arbuckle and Jonathan Blankenship have been friends for years. Very proper, strictly platonic, intellectual friends, who call one another Miss Arbuckle and Mr. Blankenship. But Glee Blankenship, Jonathan’s sister-in-law and Mary’s old school friend, knows better, and when Jonathan accepts her invitation to spend Christmas in Bath with her family, Glee decides it’s time to do a bit of matchmaking.Mary doesn’t really need Glee to tell her that her feelings for Jonathan go beyond frien [...]

    11. Oh, I do so love a series where all the characters are either related or are good friends and their lives intermingle and where you get to know more and more about each character. It's almost as if they become part of your family.I guess Glee with her sweet, conniving and meddling ways is my favorite though it seems as if each of these characters has found a special place in my heart. In this book we have two very good friends who need a shove in the right direction. It happens and they suddenly [...]

    12. I have loved the whole Brides of Bath series, and this book is no exception. Cheryl Bolen has such a way with words, her description of places, and the amount of research she puts into her books makes them a real joy to read. This story sees us seeing some characters from the past, and some matchmaking going on. Anymore than that I won't say, I don't want to spoil the story for you.You don't need to have read the rest of the books in the series, but they are so wonderful that at some point, eith [...]

    13. I have loved the whole Brides of Bath series, and this book is no exception. Cheryl Bolen has such a way with words, her description of places, and the amount of research she puts into her books makes them a real joy to read. This story sees us seeing some characters from the past, and some matchmaking going on. Really great book. You don't need to have read the rest of the books in the series, but they are so wonderful that you should read them all. You won't be sorry.

    14. A very short novella, this ties up any loose ends of the series. Gregory. Blankenship's brother, Jonathan, is a scholar who is shy around all females. Mary Arbuckle is a shy, studious girl herself and Glee determined to get the two together.

    15. Short and SweetA little bit confusing if you haven't read the previous books in the series (I hadn't.) But a delightful tale nonetheless.
