China Glaze 3D Prismatic – Liquid Crystal

Hi Everyone!

I saw the Prismatic collection from China Glaze on Scrangie and my heart skipped a beat.

I LOVE a good glitter! When you add holographic and duochromes to the mix well then this happens…

Well that would usually happen but I decided to not go overboard and just order Liquid Crystal for now to see how the formula is and I’m also trying to hold back on polish purchases (I said trying!) until Easter.

Liquid Crystal is described as a bright blue glitter with a duochrome purple finish and a spectacular range of mini and normal multicoloured glitter.

Application:
This polish was opaque in 3 coats but I think I ended up giving it probably 4 coats. The formula was thinner than it looks in the bottle but I had no problems applying it. It dries rather quickly too.

Finish:
The surface is rough as to be expected so I topped it off with a few coats of Seche Vite (and even now I can still feel the texture underneath slightly!) I knew not to expect a holographic effect with this polish from reviews I’d read but the purple duochrome effect although subtle really makes  this polish unique among my other glitter polishes. I keep checking them out in the light.

Overall:
I’m as mesmerised by this polish as I expected I would be; if you are a glitter polish fan then this collection is a 100% must. I will definitely be ordering Optical Illusion next… or Prism… or Ray-diant… oh decisions!

  • Packaging: 3/5
  • Formula: 4/5
  • Staying power: 3/5
  • Value for money: 5/5
  • Repurchase: Yes

Until next time, have fun :)
