    1. 3.5 What in the actual f@ck is going on stars! This book is going to be difficult for me to review Everyone knows I am a huge Jessica Sorensen fan. I love her emotional stories with her severely damaged characters. It works for me. This book is unlike anything I've read, especially from her. After reading I had the biggest wtf moment. It was late at night and the first thing I could think was Yep. That's gonna give me nightmares. This is NOT a romance. This is a dark and disturbing thriller. May [...]

    2. OH MY GOSH!!! I am a HUGE fan of Jessica Sorensen's, especially after reading The Temptation of Lila and Ethan!! Now she's released a tentative blurb for her new DARK THRILLER!!!! Did someone say dark??Where's the signup sheet folks?!FYI: This IS related to The Temptation of Lila and Ethan and I am even more impressed with Jessica since she'll be tackling THIS specific character in Forget Me Not! Absolutely going onto my dying-to-read shelf!

    3. Title: The Forgotten GirlSeries: StandaloneAuthor: Jessica SorensenRelease Date:May, 2014Rating: 3 starsCliffhanger:. No HEA:(view spoiler)[ No/Yes? I don't know (hide spoiler)]I am still not sure what I’m thinking about this book. It was so… different, sometimes exciting and definitely very disturbing. I was kept on my toes through all of it. I felt thoroughly mind fucked too. There were parts I liked very much, and parts that made me roll my eyes or stare on my ereader in terror. More than [...]

    4. 4.5 mind-numbingly stars! "She's right. I do have it in me. The bad. I can admit that now. And it's terrifying and enthralling." Be warned: this is not a romance novel and there's no HEA.This beautifully written dark-thrilling story dives into the mind of Maddie/Lilly, a girl suffering from a mental disorder with a very disturbing past. The story starts with Maddie suffering from amnesia and its about her journey back to discovering how she got to that point. Questionable therapy methods aren't [...]

    5. This looks really good, hoping its a standalone!!! My heart can't handle cliffhangers after Callie & Kayden's story!!!

    6. Ooohh I love the sound of this one!!! It's a standalone dark thriller from Jessica Sorensen and the tagline isMaybe she is a killer or maybe she has just forgotten. Twenty-three year-old Maddie Asherford is haunted by a past she can’t remember. When she was fifteen years old, there was a tragic accident and she was left with amnesia. In the aftermath, Maddie’s left struggling with who she—the forgotten girl she was eight years ago or the Maddie she is now. Sometimes it even feels like she [...]

    7. 4 **mind gone** Stars!!Because I don't knowonce I process this i'll do a reviewuntil then I'm gonna marinate on these thoughts!!!

    8. 4.5 Lily StarsJessica, I did not know that you could make a story like this. The Forgotten Girl tells the story of 21 year old Maddie Ashford who has amnesia from 6 years ago. All she can remember is laying in the street in the rain in front of car headlights with a silhouette of a man standing across from her.Maddie hasn't gotten her memories back and she doesn't know why. Although she goes to a therapist, she doesn't tell him what little she remembers. And the thing about Maddie is that she hear [...]

    9. 4.5 Mind-Fucked starsI love Jessica's Dark mind. This is no fairy tale love story. Heck, it's not even a love story. It's a story for the mind. Very well written. Kept me reading and wanting more. The mind games will sure get you and still at the end you're left like.Say WwHhAaTt @.@Yes I recommend this book. Go get Mind-Fucked!(Warning: Alcohol may be required during and specially after reading it.)

    10. As I sit here reflecting back to this story, I am still at a loss to what I want to say about it. It was FAR from my normal read and I was not expecting what Jessica produced. I have read almost ALL of JS' books and with each one I get a new experience and I do not get the same thing over and over. Even with all her romance novels, with each one, there is a different aspect to it and I am always left wondering if this author has any kind of life or is she a super human that can just knock out a [...]

    11. I couldn't wait to read this book and let me tell you it didn't disappoint. The Forgotten Girl is a very different story. I've never read a book like this and it kept me up late reading it. I just needed to know more about Maddie.Maddie had a very horrific trauma when she was a teenager that left her without any memory. She goes to therapy to try and help her remember but nothing is working. She's lost six years and nothing she's done has helped. Her mother is no help to her. She just wants Madd [...]

    12. MICHELLE'S REVIEWI literally have no idea what just happened. And it's not a bad thing. This book was one big mind fuck. And I liked it.Jessica Sorensen has the ability to make me cry while reading her books. Like a champ. But this book- this wasn't about tears (though there were emotional moments.) No this book- this was all about totally messing with your mind at every turn.Every time I thought I knew what was going onSMACK. Jessica threw me off course again.I can literally tell you nothing ab [...]

    15. WHAT DID I JUST READ??Did not understand what I read. I would have given it 3 or 4 stars for the twists and turns BUT the story ended and I still have no answers. This could have been a good read had the mystery been revealed at the end. Since I'm a Supernatural fan , I was thinking ," Is Ryland a ghost bound to the land of the living because of Maddie?" But I guess that's probably not what happened and he along with the cabin was just another one of Maddie's creations. The end was frustrating. W [...]

    16. I am still trying to figure out what in the hell I just read. It is so hard to rate this so low but there are so many things left unanswered! I think the premise for this book was amazing. But the execution? Not so much. This story will mess with your head and I get that and love it but that being said I feel like there are still so many gaps that need to be filled in. Most books I have read that screw with your head fill you in all the way by the end of it. This one did not, at least not in my [...]

    17. dnf @ 51%i just lost all the interest i have at the beginning. i was very excited about this book---i was intrigued. but the build-up was so very slow, the inner-monologues were irritating. all the excitement i had at the beginning dwindled into nothing until reading this book became a tedious chore. so, life is short---so i said, if you're not happy with it anymore, move on.

    18. Omgggg is this the London, Ethan used to date??? The description somehow matched; the whole not remember thing??? Still, cannot wait and will read it once it's out for sure!!!

    20. I was incredibly disappointed with this book. It looked to be just my style of reading, but turned out to be anything but.Lisa Gardner wrote a book along similar lines, where the main character kept waking up at the scene of a murder, with no memory of what had happened. The difference is that Lisa Gardner is an astounding writer. The Forgotten Girl was very poorly written, and the editing was even worse. The characters were dull, and the book read like a telephone directory. This will be my first [...]

    21. This was a disturbing, yet super satisfying read. I was breathless on each page wondering what the hell is happening here! The insight into Maddie's madness -- or is it madness ;-) -- was truly inspired. We see into her head, which is not always pretty! Highly recommend this standalone.

    22. This book was about a girl, Maddie who wakes up in the hospital and cant remember anything from the past 6 years. little by little things will trigger a memory and random events start taking place.

    23. Stopped at 28% I couldn't get into. I have read 4 books by this author and constantly stalk her facebook page for more books in the series of hers I read I just couldn't get into it. It is not the author I love it just this one book.

    24. I admire the ability authors have to keep putting out books and each one being different every time. Not many authors can do it, but it’s safe to say Jessica Sorensen has it on lock. This was Sorensen’s darkest story yet and so far from anything else she’s ever written. I was blown away by this story and wasn’t expecting any part of it.Maddie suffers from Psychogenic Amnesia. She’s had a traumatic past that has caused her to suppress her memories prior to the age of fifteen. Now, six ye [...]

    25. This book was insane! I'll admit that I was a little hesitant about reading it when I read the synopsis because it didn't seem like the kind of book I'd normally read, but it's a Jessica Sorensen book and the cover is really creepy, so I decided to give it a whirl! I was lucky to be able to beta read the first 90% of it and I'm so happy I got the chance too! I had to wait to read the last 10% though, which can I just say, was the most insane 10% ever! The plot of this book was just amazing! It j [...]
