    2. This books showed the sheep going through the farm while trick or treating. It was great to see all the different illustrations and how the sheep interacted with the other animals

    3. We love the sheep books! In this book, the sheep get dressed in costumes to go out and trick or treat. A cute, rhyming Halloween picture book.

    4. This is a fun, rhyming Halloween story featuring the adorable sheep from the series by Nancy E. Shaw and Margot Apple. The narrative is bouncy and the illustrations are cute, although some of the rhymes are a bit awkward. We loved the different costumes and enjoyed reading this story together. We've read this one a couple of times.

    5. I came upon this book at school and brought it home thinking my granddaughter who is spending the night would like it. She is three and already is talking about Halloween. The book is so funny, silly sheep dressing up and trick or treating down on the farm with the cows and the chickens, coming upon wolves on the way home who don't recognize them, but are scared by the costumes, including one in a vampire cape and two as an ape. The book rhymes and I had to explain a few words, but in all, we bo [...]

    6. I would probably give one and a half stars to this book. Actually, I slightly prefer this latest incarnation of these adventurous sheep to the book "Sheep on a Ship". I really think that the idea of the sheep trick-or-treating through a barnyard and getting unique and tailor-made "treats" from the various farm animals from each one's own regular produce wares is a creative and well-executed idea. I enjoy reading this story, and come to think of it, I might be willing to give the full two stars.

    7. Another fun addition to Nancy Shaw's collection of sheep book (they're not actually a series per se, as they don't need to be read sequentially). But unlike Sheep on a Ship and Sheep on a Jeep, this one has a twist--a non-disastrous ending, making it a bit more like Sheep out to Eat. I love the disguises and costumes the sheep come up with for Halloween, their interaction with farm animals and wolves, and of course the amazing use of rhymes and sound juxtapositions.

    8. Sheets dress up in scary costumes and head to the barnyard to trick or treat. Along the way they catch the attention of some hungry wolves After a fun night of trick or treating, the sheep head home. They come across the wolves and scare them away with they're monster costumes!Grade PreK-2Heather

    9. This series is full of easy rhymes. It makes a great early reader, as well as a great read-aloud for a younger preschooler or toddler. The sheep dress up and head out for halloween. They're followed by some wolves - gasp! horror! But they manage to unknowingly turn the tables on them simply by being in scary costumes. Whew.I suppose it might be scary for some younger children.

    10. When the sheep go trick-or-treating it is quite the adventure! They decide to go trick-or-treating on a farm but they are scared away by wolves. This would be a perfect book for around Halloween time. The book is a rhyming book, which would be a fun interaction with the entire classroom. The expressions on each animals face are priceless as well and their costumes are one of a kind!

    11. What will happen when the sheep go trick-or-treating? Could there be wolves lurking in the woods, hoping to catch the sheep as they head home? Be sure to checkout hte cleverly disguised wolves - there are more that you think!!

    12. Cute rhyming book for young children.Excerpt from book:As the Halloween moon rises,Sheep are fixing up disguises. They make a mask with glue and tape. And a monster suit with a shiny cape.Sheep snip and sew and drapeA costume for a giant ape.

    13. Cute Halloween story. The preschoolers liked the little twist at the end. I thought the illustrations were pretty darn adorable, and I liked all of the different treats that the sheep were offered around the farm.

    14. Early reader book with lovely illustrations, a fun rhyme scheme, and a very cute tale of a flock of sheep getting ready to celebrate Halloween with some trick-or-treating, unaware of nearby wolves looking to make a treat of them. I imagine I'll read this one to my son many times.

    15. Maybe the problem is that I wasn't reading this aloud, but I did not enjoy it as much as the others we've read (shop and jeep). It didn't have the same fun rhythms, or creativity - except for the last few pages. I loved the wolves in sheep's clothing - best part of the book!

    16. Delightful. All of Shaw's books are good. But in my opinion "Sheep in a Jeep" and this one, "Sheep Trick or Treat" are among the best!

    17. OK, so this was probably written to be a money-maker, but it's cute and funny nonetheless. Not as spare and minimal as Sheep in a Jeep.

    18. So cute! I loved the sheep costumes and trick or treating to the animals. And how they scared the wolves.

    19. My two year olds at story time were absolutely delighted by this book. They could not stop saying "sheep" and "wolf" for the rest of the session!

    20. Simple not too scary Halloween book, full of rhyme and pictures that help readers understand what is going on.

    21. Cute, innocent Halloween fun!Homemade costumes and barnyard treats,Scare the wolves away and enjoy some sweets.

    22. I like following these tricky sheep on their adventures, and this story proved a great example of a plot twist.
